Spruce Creek South in Summerfield Drinking Water

Purchasing my retirement home, did not in any way give any clue of the magnitude of issues never before having to even address, let alone resolve and continue to deal with within the Private, For-Profit, Equity Investor-Owned Spruce Creek South Retirement Community.

From being deceived the Spruce Creek South 55+ Senior Retirement Community was “inferred” governed by a Home Owner’s Association, which after purchasing, find out that the community is a Private, For-Profit, Equity Investor-Owned. My “HOA Fees” as every real estate agent post’s to the MLS and shared with Zillow and other Real Estate web sites is actually a monthly “Maintenance Fee” that automatically raised to mirror the cost of living every year provided by the government to seniors on social security fixed incomes without ANY improvement in services.

Relocating in December of 2018, tasting the water that was so bad my pet would not even drink it. Purchased a lot of bottled water and researched whole house water filtration systems. New to the area, the only basis for selecting a water filtration system was based on reviews at the time.

Due to health concerns, adding sodium to soften the water, as traditionally done, was not an avenue to go with. It took an additional couple of years to find the resolution to the issue with the YARNA CWD48 Electronic Water Descaler.

Nova Triple Stage Whole House Water Filter

Pros:

First year filter replacement contrasted drastically by literally having two of three used filters turned black and the third was dark brown! Second replacement filter set was nowhere near as dark but noticeably dark with containments. The third replacement set continues the extraordinary discoloration of the filters.

Cons:

Have had my Nova Triple Stage Whole House Water Filter for a few years. My only con is the installation. Water enters the house from the west side of the house. Have noticed during the summers the cold water is warm from the tap because the installers piped on the ground surface instead of concealing below the surface. Requested to install the system high on the wall but was refused by the installers.
